Le-an stumbled upon working remotely when she was 15, as she was maintaining a personal blog and started getting messages about being hired as a writer online.
At that point in 2011, Le-an’s father had been working overseas for most of her life, as it was one of the main ways for Filipinos to earn a “dollar wage” or more than average pay.
She would only see her dad once or twice a year, and when she was getting paid gigs online from writing to creating graphics to video editing, it blew her away at the thought that if this was available for her parents when she was her age, her dad wouldn’t have needed to leave the country after all.
At 18, Le-an survived Category 5 Typhoon Haiyan, when she realized that as she was about to drown in her childhood home, she decided to detach from the expectations of her family which was to become a lawyer and work abroad, to focus on building her remote career.
Moving into another city after that traumatic experience, Le-an found work as a book editor for a US publishing company, and found that there were so many opportunities for Filipinos to be able to work from home.
At 20, when allowed to be trained to be the remote CEO of that US publishing company, Le-an jumped on the opportunity and fell in love with entrepreneurship and developed systems in the company to the point where she could step away from the business when she wanted to.
With a passion for educating and providing opportunities for Filipinos to work from home, Le-an partnered with her boss to start 2xYou, to create jobs for Filipinos and to show the world the amazing experience of working with Filipinos.
Le-an was able to grow 2xYou to the point where they were awarded the Silver Stevie Award for Employer Of The Year in 2021 & Silver Asia-Pacific Stevie Award in 2023 for their training and development for virtual assistants as well as grow her brand as an expert in building a remote business through her content.
Since then, Le-an has further developed 2xYou as a Business Operating System where they can create a structure for their clients’ businesses with a highly trained executive assistant.
In 2024, Le-an became a certified AI Consultant, where she aims to combine the Business Operating System and AI into someone’s business by creating assets and processes with AI and AI Assistants.
An early adopter through and through, from working online in 2011 to adopting AI in 2022.
Le-an aims to help 10,000 entrepreneurs grow remotely, and 1 Million Filipinos to work from home so less kids would need to experience not having a parent at home.
